Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh, you can easily walk to Market Square. Start at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Sixth Street. Head west on Liberty Avenue until you reach the corner of Market Street. Turn left onto Market Street. Continue walking straight for about two blocks, and you will see Market Square on your right. It's a vibrant area filled with restaurants, shops, and outdoor seating.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    You can take the Port Authority bus service to reach Market Square from various locations in Downtown Pittsburgh. Find a nearby bus stop and check the schedules for routes that head towards the Downtown area. A common route is the 1, 61, or 71 buses. Board the bus and pay the fare, which is currently $2.50 for a one-way trip (exact change required). Disembark at the stop nearest to Market Square (look for the 'Market Square' sign). From there, it's just a short walk to the square.

  • Light Rail (T)

    If you are near a T station (the light rail system), you can take the T to the Steel Plaza station. Board any T line heading towards South Hills. Once you arrive at Steel Plaza, exit the station and head northeast on Liberty Avenue toward Market Street. Turn left on Market Street, and after a block, you will arrive at Market Square. Note that the T fare is also $2.50 for a one-way trip.
