From the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh, head towards the iconic Point State Park. If you're near the PPG Place, start walking south on 4th Avenue, then turn left onto Liberty Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Commonwealth Place. Turn right, and you'll find yourself at the entrance of Point State Park. The Fort Pitt Museum is located within the park at 601 Commonwealth Place.

Public Transit - Bus
For those who prefer public transit, you can take the Port Authority bus. Look for the 61C, 61D, or 71A lines that run through Downtown. Board the bus at any nearby stop, such as at 6th Street and Liberty Avenue. After a short ride, disembark at the 'Liberty Ave at Commonwealth Pl' stop. From there, walk south to Point State Park and head towards the Fort Pitt Museum. Make sure to check the bus schedule for exact timings. A one-way fare is $2.75.

You can also opt for the Pittsburgh Light Rail. The nearest station is the 'First Avenue' station. Board the light rail towards 'Library' and get off at the 'Station Square' stop. From there, exit the station and walk towards the Fort Pitt Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the signs to Point State Park. The walk will take approximately 15 minutes. A one-way fare for the light rail is also $2.75.
