Getting There

  • Car

    From any location within Presque Isle State Park, head east on the main park road towards the entrance of the park. Follow the signs directing you to the exit. Upon exiting the park, merge onto PA-832 E (also known as Peninsula Drive) and continue for about 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W 38th St. Turn left onto W 38th St and drive approximately 1.5 miles. The Erie Zoo will be on your left at 423 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508. Parking is available on-site, but be prepared for a parking fee of around $5.

  • Public Transportation

    If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) bus service. Start by getting to the nearest bus stop located along the main park road. Look for the EMTA Route 5, which services the area between Presque Isle State Park and downtown Erie. Board the bus and ride until you reach the bus stop at W 38th St & Peach St. From there, it’s a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the zoo at 423 W 38th St. Please check the EMTA schedule in advance as service frequency may vary. A one-way fare is approximately $1.50.
