Walking
If you are in Downtown Erie, you can easily walk to the West 21st Street Historic District. Start at the corner of State Street and 6th Street. Head east on 6th Street for about three blocks until you reach the intersection with Sassafras Street. Turn left onto Sassafras Street and continue for about four blocks. The historic district will be on your right between 21st and 22nd Streets, specifically at 2199-2101 Sassafras St. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing stations in Downtown Erie. Once you have a bike, start at the Erie County Courthouse on 6th Street. Head east on 6th Street and turn left onto Sassafras Street. Follow Sassafras Street for approximately four blocks. The West 21st Street Historic District will be on your right side. Make sure to follow all traffic rules and wear a helmet for safety. Renting a bike may incur a small fee, typically around $5 for an hour.
