Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the Entrance to Presque Isle State Park located at the intersection of State Route 5 (Lake Erie Drive) and the park access road. Follow the park road straight ahead, and keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Perry Monument. The monument is located at the northern tip of the park. You will need to park in the Perry Monument parking area, which is close to the monument itself. There are no fees for parking within the park.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can use the paved bike paths within Presque Isle State Park. Start from the park entrance and follow the designated bike paths. The paths are well-marked and lead directly to Perry Monument. This is a great way to enjoy the scenery of the park while getting some exercise. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow bike safety rules.

• Walking

  If you are already within Presque Isle State Park, you can walk to Perry Monument. Depending on your starting location within the park, you may need to follow the main park road or designated walking paths. Look for signs indicating the direction to Perry Monument. The walk can be quite scenic, so take your time to enjoy the views of Lake Erie along the way. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and consider the weather conditions.

  Public transportation options to Presque Isle State Park can be limited. If you are arriving in Erie, PA, check local bus routes for services that go to the park. Once in the park, you may need to use a combination of walking and cycling to reach Perry Monument, as bus services may not operate directly within the park.
