Walking
If you are starting from the Reading Public Library at 100 S 5th St, walk south on S 5th St toward Washington St. Turn left onto Washington St and walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach S 9th St. Turn right onto S 9th St and walk for approximately 0.3 miles. When you reach Centre Ave, turn left. Continue walking on Centre Ave for about 0.2 miles, and the Berks History Center will be on your left at 940 Centre Ave.
Public Transit (Bus)
From the Reading City Hall, take the BARTA bus route 1 or 2. Board the bus heading toward the 'Centre Avenue' stop. The bus will take you through various stops; ensure you stay on until you reach the 'Centre Ave & 9th St' stop. Exit the bus, and walk south on Centre Ave for about 0.1 miles. The Berks History Center will be on your right at 940 Centre Ave.
Biking
If you are renting a bike from a local bike share, head towards the Schuylkill River Trail from your location. Follow the trail north until you reach the bridge at Penn St. Cross the bridge and follow the road signs to Centre Ave. Turn right onto Centre Ave after approximately 1 mile. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles, and the Berks History Center will be on your left at 940 Centre Ave.
