Car
From Harrisburg, take I-81 N for approximately 1 hour. Merge onto I-476 N (Northeast Extension) toward Scranton. Take exit 1 toward Scranton. Merge onto I-81 N and continue for about 10 miles. Take exit 185 toward Scranton and merge onto N Main Ave. Continue onto Lackawanna Ave, then turn left onto Cliff St. Steamtown National Historic Site will be on your right at 350 Cliff St, Scranton, PA 18503.

From Lancaster, take US-222 N to I-76 W (Pennsylvania Turnpike). Merge onto I-81 N and follow the same directions as above from Harrisburg. Note: There is a toll for using the Pennsylvania Turnpike, which may vary based on the entry and exit points.

Public Transportation
Take a Greyhound bus from various locations in South Central Pennsylvania to Scranton. The bus will drop you off at the Scranton Bus Station. From the bus station, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service to Steamtown National Historic Site, which is about 1 mile away. Expect to pay around $10-$15 for the taxi fare.

Public Transportation
If using Amtrak, take a train to the nearest station, which is in Wilkes-Barre. From Wilkes-Barre, you can catch a local bus (Luzerne County Transportation Authority) that runs to Scranton. Once in Scranton, you can use a taxi or rideshare to reach Steamtown National Historic Site.

If you're already in downtown Scranton, you can walk to Steamtown National Historic Site. Head south on N Washington Ave, then turn left onto Lackawanna Ave. Continue on Lackawanna Ave until you reach Cliff St, then turn left. Steamtown will be on your right. This is approximately a 15-20 minute walk.
