If you are starting from downtown Scranton, head south on Lackawanna Avenue towards Wyoming Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Adams Avenue. Turn left onto Adams Avenue. Walk for about half a mile, then take a right onto South Washington Avenue. Follow South Washington Avenue for about 0.3 miles, and then turn left onto Scranton's Rail Trail. Continue along the Rail Trail for approximately 1 mile. The 'Pioneer' Gravity Rail Car will be located at the end of the trail, visible as you approach the area.

For those starting from the Scranton Transit Center, board the 12 or 14 bus heading towards the South Side. Get off at the stop near the intersection of South Washington Avenue and Adams Avenue. From there, walk south along South Washington Avenue for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Scranton's Rail Trail. Follow the trail for about 1 mile, and you will arrive at The 'Pioneer' Gravity Rail Car.
