Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto Route 209 South. Continue on Route 209 until you reach the intersection with I-84. Merge onto I-84 East and follow the signs for I-80 East. Take I-80 East for approximately 25 miles, then take exit 310 for I-476 South toward Philadelphia. Continue on I-476 South for about 35 miles until you reach the exit for I-76 East. Merge onto I-76 East and follow the signs to Philadelphia. Take exit 341B for US-30 West toward City Avenue. Continue on US-30 West for about 3 miles. Turn left onto W Girard Ave, and the Philadelphia Zoo will be on your left at 3400 W Girard Ave.

Public Transportation
To reach the Philadelphia Zoo via public transportation, first make your way to the nearest bus or train station in Upper Delaware Valley. If you're taking a bus, look for a service that goes to Philadelphia, such as the Martz Trailways or Trans-Bridge Lines, which will take you to the Port Authority Terminal in NYC. From there, take a NJ Transit train to Philadelphia. Once in Philadelphia, you can take the Market-Frankford Line (blue line) from 69th Street Terminal towards Frankford Station. Get off at 69th Street and transfer to the 34 trolley line towards 69th Street Terminal. Ride the trolley for about 10 stops and get off at W Girard Ave & 34th St. Walk west on W Girard Ave for a few minutes until you reach the zoo at 3400 W Girard Ave.
