If you're in University City, the Philadelphia Zoo is about a 20-minute walk. Start at 34th Street and head west towards Girard Avenue. Continue walking until you reach 34th and Girard Avenue. Turn left on Girard Avenue and walk for about 0.5 miles until you see the entrance to the zoo on your right at 3400 W Girard Ave.

From University City, you can take the SEPTA Bus #15. Head to the nearest bus stop at 34th Street and Market Street. Board the bus heading westbound. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes, and get off at the stop at 34th and Girard Avenue. From there, it's a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the zoo entrance at 3400 W Girard Ave. A single ride costs $2.50.
