    If you're in University City, the Philadelphia Zoo is about a 20-minute walk. Start at 34th Street and head west towards Girard Avenue. Continue walking until you reach 34th and Girard Avenue. Turn left on Girard Avenue and walk for about 0.5 miles until you see the entrance to the zoo on your right at 3400 W Girard Ave.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From University City, you can take the SEPTA Bus #15. Head to the nearest bus stop at 34th Street and Market Street. Board the bus heading westbound. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes, and get off at the stop at 34th and Girard Avenue. From there, it's a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the zoo entrance at 3400 W Girard Ave. A single ride costs $2.50.

  • Public Transit (Trolley)

    You can also take the SEPTA Trolley (Route 11, 13, or 36) from 40th Street and Baltimore Avenue. Board the trolley heading towards the 69th Street Terminal. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop at 34th and Girard Avenue. Walk a few minutes east along Girard Avenue to reach the zoo entrance at 3400 W Girard Ave. A single ride costs $2.50.
