Car
If you're traveling by car, make your way to Chachapoyas, the capital of the Amazonas region. From Chachapoyas, take the road towards Lámud. It's approximately a 30-minute drive (about 22 km). The road is well-maintained, but be cautious of local traffic and animals crossing. Once you reach Lámud, look for signs indicating 'Cavernas de Quiocta.' The entrance to the caverns is located just outside of Lámud, and you will need to park in the designated area before entering the site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the main bus terminal in Chachapoyas. Look for buses heading towards Lámud; they run frequently throughout the day. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes and costs around 5-10 soles. Once you arrive in Lámud, you can either walk to the caverns, which is about a 20-minute walk, or hire a local taxi for a short ride to the entrance. Ensure you have some cash, as taxis may not accept cards.
Walking

The path is straightforward, but be prepared for some uphill sections. The walk will take approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially if you are traveling during the warmer parts of the day.
Taxi
Once in Lámud, you can also opt for a taxi to take you directly to the caverns. Taxis in Lámud are readily available, and the fare should be around 15-20 soles. Make sure to agree on the price before starting your journey.
