Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car from Arequipa, head southeast on Av. Ejército towards Av. La Paz. Continue straight onto Av. Los Incas, then turn right onto the exit ramp to Yura. Merge onto the Carretera Arequipa - Yura (Route 1). Follow this road for about 35 km until you reach the town of Yura Viejo. Once in Yura Viejo, follow the signs towards Q8R6+HG2. After reaching the coordinates (Q8R6+HG2), continue down the local road leading to the Capua waterfall. There is limited parking available near the waterfall, but be prepared for a short walk to reach the actual site.

Public Transportation

To reach Capua waterfall via public transportation, start at the Arequipa bus terminal. Look for a bus heading towards Yura or a colectivo (shared taxi) that can take you to Yura Viejo. The fare is typically around 5-10 PEN. Once you arrive in Yura Viejo, you may need to ask locals for directions to Q8R6+HG2, as public transport options may be limited. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1.5 km) or hire a local taxi to take you closer to the waterfall.

Walking/Trekking

If you prefer to trek from Yura Viejo, after arriving in the town, head towards the coordinates Q8R6+HG2. The trek is about 1.5 km and will take you through some scenic local landscapes. Ensure you wear comfortable footwear and bring water, as the path can be uneven and steep in some sections.
