Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Arequipa, get onto Av. Independencia and follow it to the west. Continue on Av. Independencia until it merges into Av. Ejército. Stay on Av. Ejército as it leads you toward the river. As you approach the river, follow the signs for Puente Grau. Once you reach the bridge, you'll see it clearly marked. There is street parking available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Puente Grau via public transportation, start by taking any of the buses that head towards the river area. Look for buses marked 'Cercado' or 'Puente Grau.' These buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal in Arequipa. Once you're on the bus, inform the driver that you wish to stop at Puente Grau. The trip should take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. After disembarking, follow the signs to the bridge, which is a short walk away.

• Walking

  If you're already in a nearby area, such as the Plaza de Armas, you can walk to Puente Grau. Head south from the Plaza and walk down Av. La Marina, which will take you directly toward the river. Once you reach the river, you will see the bridge ahead. The walk takes about 20-30 minutes, and you can enjoy the local scenery along the way.
