Look for the Cathedral on the east side of the square; the Plaza de Armas is directly in front of it. It is a beautiful open square surrounded by stunning architecture, perfect for taking photos and enjoying local cafes.

To reach the Plaza de Armas by bus, find a nearby bus stop in the city center. Board a bus that is headed towards the 'Centro Histórico' or 'Plaza de Armas'. These buses are frequent and will drop you off just a few blocks from the square. Once you get off, walk straight towards the large open area; you will see the Plaza de Armas ahead.

If you prefer to take a taxi, simply find a taxi on the street or call one through a local taxi service app. Tell the driver 'Plaza de Armas' or show them the address: Arequipa 04001. The taxi will take you directly to the square, where you will be dropped off near the entrance.
