Getting There
Walking
If you're starting from the main square (Plaza de Armas) in Arequipa, head north on Avenida La Marina. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Avenida Miguel Grau. Turn right onto Avenida Miguel Grau and walk for about 400 meters. You will see signs for Yanahuara. Continue along this road, and soon you will reach the Yanahuara district. The Yanahuara Scenic Overlook will be on your left side. Look for the entrance with a large archway and beautiful views of the surrounding area.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Plaza de Armas, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Avenida Emmel. Take any bus that is headed towards the Yanahuara area. The fare should be around 1 or 2 soles. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Yanahuara. Once you arrive, walk towards the main square of Yanahuara, and follow the signs for the scenic overlook which is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
Taxi (or Rideshare)
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app. From the Plaza de Armas, simply tell the driver to take you to Yanahuara Scenic Overlook. The journey will take approximately 10 minutes depending on traffic. The fare should be around 10 to 15 soles. Once you arrive, look for the entrance to the overlook which is marked with a large archway.
