From Ayacucho city center, head south on Av. 28 de Julio towards Av. La Mar. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Av. Sucre. Turn left onto Av. Sucre and walk for about 500 meters until you reach the main bus terminal (Terminal Terrestre de Ayacucho). At the terminal, look for a local minibus or colectivo heading towards Cabrapata. Board the bus and inform the driver of your destination. The journey should take around 30-40 minutes.

Once you arrive at the Terminal Terrestre de Ayacucho, you can find various minibuses that go to Cabrapata. Look for a bus with a sign indicating 'Cabrapata' or ask locals for the correct minibus. After boarding, the bus will make several stops along the way, so be attentive to your surroundings. The ride usually lasts about 30-40 minutes. You'll get off at the designated drop-off point in Cabrapata, which is close to the observation deck. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to reach the observation deck.
