Walking
From the main square (Plaza de Armas) in Ayacucho, head southeast towards Avenida Independencia. Walk down Avenida Independencia for about 5 blocks until you reach the intersection with Calle 28 de Julio. Turn left onto Calle 28 de Julio and continue walking for about 3 blocks. You should see a park on your right called Parque de la Revolución. Continue straight, and after passing the park, take a right onto Calle Velarde. Casona Velarde Álvarez will be located towards the end of this street on your left.
