From Cusco city center, head southwest on Av. El Sol toward Av. 28 de Julio. Continue on Av. El Sol until you reach the intersection with Av. de la Cultura. Turn left onto Av. de la Cultura. Follow this road for about 5 km, then take the exit toward Puno/Cusco Sur. Merge onto the road leading toward Puno and continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Urcos. From Urcos, follow the signs to Qochas Chincanas, which is approximately 18 km from Urcos. The destination will be on your right. Make sure to have a map or GPS, as the roads can be winding and some may not be well-marked.

From the main bus terminal in Cusco, look for buses traveling to Urcos. The fare is typically around 10-15 soles. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Urcos, look for a local minibus or shared taxi that goes to Qochas Chincanas. These should be available near the main square. The fare for this leg will be around 5 soles. The total journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on wait times.
