Getting There

    From Cusco, take Av. El Sol towards the south. Continue on Av. El Sol until you reach the intersection with Av. de la Cultura. Turn right onto Av. de la Cultura and follow it for about 3 km. You will see signs for the Machu Picchu train station (Estación de tren Machu Picchu) at Poroy. Park your car at the designated parking area near the train station. Note that parking fees may apply, typically around 10-15 soles for the day. From here, purchase a ticket for the train to Aguas Calientes, which will cost approximately 80-120 soles one way depending on the service you choose.

    Take the train from Poroy to Aguas Calientes, which will take about 3.5 hours. Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes, exit the train station and head towards the bus station nearby. Purchase a bus ticket to Machu Picchu, which costs about 24-30 soles for a round trip. The bus ride to Machu Picchu takes about 20-30 minutes.
