From the city center of Cusco, head to the terminal near 'Pavitos' street, where you can catch a bus heading to 'Sayhuite' or 'Chinchero'. Buses usually leave every 30 minutes. The fare is around 5-10 soles. Inform the driver you want to get off at Laguna Huaypo. The trip will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

Collectivo (Shared Taxi)
You can take a collectivo from Avenida de la Cultura, which is commonly used for trips to rural areas. Look for a collectivo that has 'Chinchero' or 'Sayhuite' written on it. The fare is approximately 10-15 soles and they leave when full. Once you reach the vicinity of Laguna Huaypo, ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to the lake.

Walking/Hiking
If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can hike to Laguna Huaypo from Chinchero. From the Chinchero market, head northwest and follow the signs or local paths leading towards the lake. This trail is scenic but can take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace.
