Taxi
From the main square (Plaza de Armas) in Cusco, you can easily find a taxi. Tell the driver you want to go to Laguna Huaypo. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey, which should be around 40-60 soles.
Public Transport (Bus)
Head to the nearby bus terminal located near Av. Huaynapata. Look for buses headed towards Chinchero or Urubamba. Ask the conductor if they can drop you off at the turn-off for Laguna Huaypo. The bus ride lasts about 45 minutes, and you will need to walk about 20-30 minutes from the drop-off point to reach the lake.
Walking + Public Transport
From Plaza de Armas, walk to the San Pedro Market. From there, catch a local bus that goes towards Chinchero. Once you reach Chinchero, ask for directions to Laguna Huaypo. You may need to walk for about 1 hour from Chinchero to get to the lake, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
