Walking
From Plaza de Armas, head northwest on Avenida El Sol towards Avenida de la Cultura. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de la Cultura. Turn left onto Avenida de la Cultura and walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the Urubamba bus terminal. You can take a bus from the terminal to Urubamba, which will take around 1 hour. Once you arrive in Urubamba, head northeast on Jirón 28 de Julio towards Jirón Palacio. Turn right onto Jirón Palacio, and the Mercado de Urubamba will be on your left at number 342.
Bus
From Plaza de Armas, walk to the nearby bus station located at Avenida El Sol. Look for the buses heading to Urubamba. Purchase a ticket from the ticket booth for around 10 soles. Buses typically leave every 30 minutes. The journey to Urubamba takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Urubamba, exit the bus station and head northeast on Jirón 28 de Julio. Continue until you reach Jirón Palacio, then turn right and walk until you find Mercado de Urubamba at number 342.
Taxi
From Plaza de Armas, you can easily find a taxi by hailing one on the street or using a ride-hailing app. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mercado de Urubamba located at Jirón Palacio 342. The taxi ride will take approximately 1 hour depending on traffic and will cost around 70-100 soles. Once you arrive, the Mercado de Urubamba will be right in front of you.
