Bus
To reach Paucartambo from Cusco, head to the main bus terminal (Terminal Terrestre de Cusco). Look for buses heading to Paucartambo, which are usually found at platform 3 or 4. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours. Once you board, enjoy the scenic views as the bus ascends into the Andes. Upon arrival at the Paucartambo bus terminal, you will be in the main area of the town.
Shared Taxi (Colectivo)
From the Plaza de Armas in Cusco, walk to the corner of Avenida Grau and Calle San Francisco where shared taxis (colectivos) to Paucartambo can be found. These taxis leave once they are full and take about 3 hours to reach Paucartambo. Inform the driver of your destination and enjoy the ride. Once you arrive, you'll be close to the town center.
Walking
If you are already in Paucartambo, walking is the best way to explore the town. Starting from the main square (Plaza de Armas), head towards the church (Iglesia de Paucartambo) which is located right in the plaza. From there, you can walk down any of the streets leading to the local shops, markets, and scenic viewpoints.
