From the Plaza de Armas, head east on Calle Almagro and continue until you reach Avenida de la Cultura. Turn left and walk along Avenida de la Cultura for about 2 kilometers. Look for signs that say 'Tambomachay' as you approach the area. Continue on Avenida de la Cultura until you see a fork in the road, then take a right onto the road that leads toward the archaeological site. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach Tambomachay.

From Plaza de Armas, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Avenida de la Cultura. Take a minibus heading towards 'Tambomachay' or 'Pucapuncu'. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Get off at the Tambomachay stop, which is well marked. From the bus stop, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of the archaeological site.
