Walking
From the Plaza de Armas, head east on Calle Almagro and continue until you reach Avenida de la Cultura. Turn left and walk along Avenida de la Cultura for about 2 kilometers. Look for signs that say 'Tambomachay' as you approach the area. Continue on Avenida de la Cultura until you see a fork in the road, then take a right onto the road that leads toward the archaeological site. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach Tambomachay.
Public Transport
From Plaza de Armas, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Avenida de la Cultura. Take a minibus heading towards 'Tambomachay' or 'Pucapuncu'. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Get off at the Tambomachay stop, which is well marked. From the bus stop, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of the archaeological site.
Taxi (or Ride-Hailing Service)
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Cusco. Simply inform the driver that you want to go to 'Tambomachay'. The ride should take about 15 minutes from the city center, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting the trip. Once you arrive, the main entrance to the site will be clearly visible.
