Bus
From Cusco, head to the Terminal Terrestre (bus terminal) located at Av. José Luis Bustamante y Rivero. Take a local bus or taxi to reach the terminal. Once there, look for the buses headed to Cachora, which is the starting point for the trek to Choquequirao. The journey takes about 4-5 hours. Inform the bus driver or attendant that you are going to Cachora. Upon arrival in Cachora, you can either hire a local guide or begin your hike towards Choquequirao.
Hiking
From Cachora, the hike to Choquequirao is approximately 30 kilometers and can take around 2-3 days, depending on your pace. Follow the signs leading to the Choquequirao trailhead. Be sure to carry enough food, water, and camping gear if you plan to stay overnight. The trail will descend into the Apurímac Canyon and then ascend towards Choquequirao.
