The Enchanting Templo del San Blas: A Jewel of Cusco

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're already in the San Blas neighborhood, the easiest way to get to Templo del San Blas is by walking. Start at the main square in San Blas (Plaza de San Blas) and head towards Calle San Blas. Walk up this street, which is known for its artisan shops and cafes. Continue walking uphill until you reach the intersection with Calle Chihuampata. Turn left onto Calle Chihuampata, and you will soon see the Templo del San Blas ahead on your right. The walk should take about 10-15 minutes.

• Public Transport (if needed)

  If you are further away in the city and need to use public transport, take a local bus (known as 'micro') that heads towards the San Blas area. Buses heading to 'San Blas' are common, and you can catch them from various points in Cusco. You'll pay around 1-2 soles for the fare. Once you reach the San Blas neighborhood, follow the walking directions provided above from the Plaza de San Blas.

• Taxi or Ride-share

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or a ride-share service like Uber. Simply instruct the driver to take you to 'Templo del San Blas' or 'Plaza de San Blas.' The cost for a taxi ride from the city center should be around 5-10 soles, depending on your starting point. Once you arrive, you can easily walk to the temple from the plaza as described above.
