If you are starting from the Huaraz bus terminal, exit the terminal and head northwest on Av. José de la Mar. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Av. Luzuriaga. Turn right onto Av. Luzuriaga and walk for about 400 meters. You will see the Main Square of Huaraz ahead, which is a large open space with green areas and pathways.

If you are near Plaza de Armas, you are already very close! Simply walk east along Av. 28 de Julio for about 300 meters until you reach the Main Square of Huaraz. Look for the prominent trees and benches in the center of the square.
