Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Huaraz bus terminal, exit the terminal and head northwest on Av. José de la Mar. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Av. Luzuriaga. Turn right onto Av. Luzuriaga and walk for about 400 meters. You will see the Main Square of Huaraz ahead, which is a large open space with green areas and pathways.

If you are near Plaza de Armas, you are already very close! Simply walk east along Av. 28 de Julio for about 300 meters until you reach the Main Square of Huaraz. Look for the prominent trees and benches in the center of the square.

From the Huaraz Central Market, exit the market and head south on Av. 28 de Julio. Walk for about 600 meters. As you walk, keep an eye out for local shops and restaurants. When you reach the end of Av. 28 de Julio, the Main Square of Huaraz will be on your left.
