Getting There

Car
From Huaraz, head south on Avenida Luzuriaga. Continue straight for about 2 km until you reach the junction with Avenida 28 de Julio. Turn left onto Avenida 28 de Julio and follow it for approximately 1.5 km. You will pass through some urban areas; keep an eye out for local landmarks. After crossing the bridge over the Río Santa, continue on this road until you see signs for Rio Seco. The road will gradually lead you to a dirt path, which you will follow for another 3 km until you reach Rio Seco.

Public Transportation
From the main bus terminal in Huaraz, take a local combi or minibus heading towards the outskirts of the city. Look for signs or ask the driver for 'Rio Seco' as not all drivers may know the exact destination. The fare is typically around 2-3 soles. The minibus will take you as close as possible to the entrance of the park, but expect to walk a short distance (around 1 km) on a dirt road to reach the exact location of Rio Seco.

Walking
If you're already near Huaraz, you can walk to Rio Seco by following Av. Luzuriaga south until you reach Avenida 28 de Julio. From there, continue walking along Avenida 28 de Julio towards the bridge over Río Santa. After crossing the bridge, you can follow the dirt road that leads to the park. The walk is approximately 5 km and should take about an hour. Be sure to bring water and wear comfortable shoes, as the road can be uneven.
