Car
From the main entrance of Huascaran National Park, head towards the town of Huaraz. Follow the signs leading to the Callejón de Huaylas, then take the road to the south towards Carhuaz. After approximately 30 minutes, you'll reach the town of Carhuaz. From there, take the road towards Cascapara. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the coordinates Q57M+8QF, Cascapara 02145, which is where Qanchis Cocha is located.

Begin your journey at Huaraz by taking a bus or colectivo to Carhuaz. This ride typically takes about 30 minutes. Once in Carhuaz, you will need to find a taxi or a local colectivo to take you to Cascapara. Inform the driver of your destination, Qanchis Cocha. The taxi ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes, and the cost should be around 10-20 soles depending on negotiation and the type of vehicle.

If you are already in the vicinity of Cascapara, you can opt for a hike to Qanchis Cocha. Start from the main road in Cascapara and follow the trail signs leading to the lake.
