Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Huascarán National Park, which is near the town of Huaraz. Drive southeast on the PE-3N highway towards the town of Yungay. After approximately 25 kilometers, you will reach the fork at the 'Yungay' sign. Take the left fork towards 'Lagunas de Llanganuco'. Continue driving for about 15 kilometers, following the signs. The road will take you through stunning mountain landscapes. Once you reach the area, you will find a parking lot near the lakes. Note that there may be a small fee for parking, generally around 5 to 10 soles.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start in Huaraz by taking a minibus from the central market or main bus terminal heading to Yungay. The fare is typically around 10 soles and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Yungay, you can transfer to a local taxi or shared van (known as 'colectivos') that goes to Lagunas de Llanganuco. This ride will cost about 5 soles per person and takes around 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to go to Lagunas de Llanganuco so they can drop you off at the entrance area.
