Our group had a great time and a large part of that was the level of service from the team. Even when one of our group fell ill the day before our departure, the team made sure she still had a great time and was able to meet up with the rest of the group hiking Inca Trail at Machu Picchu. Not only that, but everyone on the trek handled the unexpectedly inclement weather (hail, ice, three days of rain) very well and were able to keep us comfortable and fed, adjusting to the needs of the group without prompting. Deyvis, Waldir, and Gorge were excellent guides, making sure the trip was safe, but still adventurous and taught us everything they knew about the local fauna and flora, as well as history. I just got back from a four day luxury Inca trail hike with Allyn Pacha and I cannot say enough good things about the company! Every single detail of the trip was perfectly organized. Our guide, Elistan, was an absolute professional and incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the Incas. He was kind and considerate of the porters and had an excellent working relationship with all of the staff, including many of the other tour operators. The food our chef prepared was above and beyond my expectations of anything you could expect while camping, and included delicious meals like homemade traditional soups, beef medallions with peppercorn sauce, and wonderful cakes. Additionally, since we had the luxury tour we finished each evening with a thirty minute massage- an absolute treat after a long day of hiking. If you want to have the absolute best possible experience hiking along the Inca trail, I highly recommend Allyn Pacha.
