Car
If you're traveling by car from the Inca Trail, first head towards the nearest town, which is Ollantaytambo. From there, take the Urubamba-Cusco road (CU-28) towards Cusco. After approximately 30 km, merge onto the CU-914 road. Continue on CU-914 for about 15 km until you reach Wat'a, which will be on your right. Make sure to follow local traffic laws and be cautious of winding roads.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Wat'a using public transportation, make your way to the nearest bus station in Ollantaytambo. Look for a bus heading towards Cusco. Once on board, inform the driver that you want to get off at the CU-914 junction. The fare is typically around 10-15 PEN (Peruvian Sol). After disembarking, walk approximately 1.5 km along CU-914 towards Wat'a, which will be on your left side. Be sure to check the bus schedules as they may vary.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Ollantaytambo to Wat'a. The taxi fare can range from 80 to 120 PEN depending on negotiation and traffic conditions. The driver will take you along CU-914 directly to the archaeological site. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
