Getting There

  • Mototaxi

    From the central area of Iquitos, you can easily find a mototaxi (a three-wheeled motorcycle taxi) at any corner or taxi stand. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Centro de Rescate Amazónico' or provide them the address 'Carr. Iquitos-Nauta km 13.8, San Juan'. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.

  • Walking and Public Transport

    If you prefer a more budget-friendly option, you can take a local bus or colectivo (shared van) from the main square (Plaza de Armas) in Iquitos. Look for buses heading towards Nauta. You will need to get off at 'km 13.8' on the Iquitos-Nauta road. The bus fare is very cheap, usually around 2-5 soles. Once you get off, walk back a short distance until you see the Centro de Rescate Amazónico on your left. This option may take about 45 minutes to an hour in total.
