Walking
If you're starting from the main square (Plaza de Armas) in Iquitos, head east along Calle Prospero until you reach the intersection with Avenida La Marina. Turn left onto Avenida La Marina and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Calle 28 de Julio. Turn right on Calle 28 de Julio and continue straight. You will eventually see Mercado Belén on your left side. The market is a vibrant place, so keep an eye out for the colorful stalls.
Moto-taxi
From any central location in Iquitos, you can easily find a moto-taxi. Simply wave to one, and once inside, tell the driver 'Mercado Belén'. They are familiar with the destination. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Just ensure you have some small change ready to pay the fare, which is usually around 3-5 soles.
Bicycle rental
If you prefer a more active route, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near the Plaza de Armas. Once you have your bike, head east on Calle Prospero, then turn left onto Avenida La Marina. Continue straight until you reach Calle 28 de Julio, turn right, and you will find Mercado Belén on your left. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes, and it's a great way to see the city!
