Boat
From the city center of Iquitos, head towards the waterfront (Malecón). Look for the port where boats depart for nearby lodges and attractions. You can ask locals for directions to the 'Puerto de Iquitos' or simply follow the signs that direct you to the river. Purchase a ticket for a boat that goes to the Treehouse Lodge. The ride typically takes around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the water levels and weather. Enjoy the scenic views of the Amazon River and surrounding rainforest during your journey.
Motorized Canoe
Alternatively, you can take a motorized canoe (also known as a 'lancha') from one of the local docks. Head to the 'Terminal Marítimo' located near the city center. You may find various companies offering rides to the lodge. Confirm with the boat operator that they go directly to Treehouse Lodge. The trip will also take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Make sure to bring some cash for the fare.
Use Treehouse Lodge as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
