Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Puno, head south on Av. Simón Bolívar towards Av. 2 de Mayo. Continue onto the Pan-American Highway (Ruta 3S) for approximately 25 km. Look for signs indicating 'Acora' and take the exit towards Acora. After entering Acora, follow the main road until you reach the intersection. At the intersection, take the left road towards 'Playas de Charcas.' Continue on this road for about 12 km until you see the sign for Castillo del Titicaca on your left. There is parking available near the entrance.

    From the main bus terminal in Puno, look for buses or shared taxis heading towards Acora. The fare is approximately 5-10 PEN (Peruvian Soles). Inform the driver that you are going to Castillo del Titicaca. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Acora, you may need to take a mototaxi or walk approximately 12 km towards 'Playas de Charcas' along the main road, until you reach Castillo del Titicaca on your left.
