Getting There

Car
From Lambayeque, head south on Av. José Balta towards Av. Juan D. García. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with the Panamericana Norte (Route 1). Take a right turn onto Panamericana Norte and drive for about 12 kilometers. Look for the signs indicating Bosque de Pómac Historic Sanctuary, and take the exit towards Tarapaca 130, José Leonardo Ortiz. Follow the road until you reach the sanctuary entrance.

Public Transportation
From Lambayeque, go to the main bus terminal and take a bus heading towards Chiclayo. The fare is approximately 5-10 soles. Get off at the Chiclayo terminal and take a local taxi or combi (shared minivan) to José Leonardo Ortiz. Inform the driver that you are going to Bosque de Pómac. The fare for the taxi should be around 10-15 soles, while the combi fare will be about 2-3 soles. Upon reaching the sanctuary entrance on Tarapaca 130, you will need to pay an entrance fee, which is usually around 5 soles.
