From Lares Trek, head towards the town of Calca, which is approximately 30 km away. Follow the signs to Cusco (Route 28G). Once you reach Calca, continue on Route 28G until you reach the outskirts of Cusco. Look for signs directing you to Tambomachay, which is located north of the city. From Lares Trek, take a local bus or collectivo (shared taxi) to Calca. The fare is usually around 5-10 soles. Once in Calca, find the bus station and take a bus heading to Cusco. Mention to the driver that you want to get off at Tambomachay; the fare will be around 10-15 soles. After disembarking, you may need to walk approximately 1 km to reach the entrance of Cueva Tambomachay. Be sure to check the schedule for return buses to ensure you have a ride back.
