Head south on the main road (Carretera Lares) for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction for Laguna Cusiqocha, which is well-marked. Turn left onto the dirt road, and continue for about 5 kilometers. The road may be bumpy, so drive carefully. Look for parking areas near the lake. From there, it’s a short hike down to the lagoon.

    To reach Laguna Cusiqocha via public transportation, start from Lares and take a minibus (combi) heading towards Calca. The fare is usually around 10 soles. After about 30 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Laguna Cusiqocha. From the junction, it’s about a 5-kilometer walk along a dirt path to the lagoon. Make sure to carry water and snacks for the hike.
