If you are traveling by car, take the road from Lares to Calca. From Lares, head south on the PE-28A for about 18 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Calca. Continue straight for another 10 kilometers until you reach the area marked P24C+84. Upon arrival, you will find signs indicating the way to Laguna de QanQan. Parking is available near the lake, but be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.

To reach Laguna de QanQan using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Lares to Calca. These buses typically leave from the main bus terminal in Lares and operate frequently, with a fare of around 10-15 soles. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once in Calca, you can either hire a taxi to take you directly to Laguna de QanQan for around 30-40 soles, or if you're feeling adventurous, ask locals for directions and hike the remaining distance (approximately 4 kilometers) to the lake.

If you are already in the Lares Trek area and prefer to hike, the trail to Laguna de QanQan can be accessed from nearby campsites. Be sure to carry sufficient water and snacks for the journey, as there are limited facilities along the way.
