If you are traveling by car, take the road from Lares to Calca. From Lares, head south on the PE-28A for about 18 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Calca. Continue straight for another 10 kilometers until you reach the area marked P24C+84. Upon arrival, you will find signs indicating the way to Laguna de QanQan. Parking is available near the lake, but be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.
Public Transportation
To reach Laguna de QanQan using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Lares to Calca. These buses typically leave from the main bus terminal in Lares and operate frequently, with a fare of around 10-15 soles. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once in Calca, you can either hire a taxi to take you directly to Laguna de QanQan for around 30-40 soles, or if you're feeling adventurous, ask locals for directions and hike the remaining distance (approximately 4 kilometers) to the lake.
Hiking
