Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach Jose Olaya, first find a nearby bus stop. Look for buses heading towards the 'Centro de Lima' or 'Cercado de Lima' routes. Board any bus with these destinations and pay the fare (usually around 1.50 soles). Stay on the bus for approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Disembark at the stop near Plaza de Armas, which is a central landmark. From the Plaza, walk towards Av. Abancay and take a left onto Pje. de José Olaya. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes, and you will find the monument on your right.

• Metro

  If you are near a metro station, take Line 1 (the Lima Metro) towards 'Villa El Salvador'. Get off at the 'Pueblo Libre' station. Once you exit the station, head east towards Av. La Marina. From there, you can take a local bus (any heading to 'Centro de Lima') or a taxi to get closer to your destination. If you choose to walk, go along Av. La Marina until you reach Av. Abancay, then turn left and continue until you reach Pje. de José Olaya, where the monument is located.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the Centro de Lima, you can simply walk to Jose Olaya. Start at Plaza San Martín, which is a well-known landmark. Walk towards the south along Av. Arequipa until you reach Av. Abancay. Turn left onto Av. Abancay and continue straight for about 15 minutes. You will then turn right onto Pje. de José Olaya. Continue walking, and you will see the monument on your left.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi service. Simply hail a taxi or use a ride-hailing app like Beat or Uber. Provide the driver with the address 'Pje. de José Olaya, Lima 15001'. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes from central locations, depending on traffic. Ensure the driver understands your destination, and the fare should average around 10-20 soles.
