If you are traveling by car, start from Aguas Calientes. Drive towards the main road leading to the Sacred Valley. Follow the signs for the Salkantay Trail and continue until you reach the road that leads to Saqsaywaman. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Trono del Inca. As you approach, you'll need to park at the designated parking area near Saqsaywaman. From there, it is a short walk to Trono del Inca, which is located at F2V9+466.
Public Transportation
To reach Trono del Inca using public transportation, start from Aguas Calientes and take a collectivo (shared taxi) heading towards Cusco. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Saqsaywaman entrance. The fare is typically around 10-15 soles. Once you arrive at the entrance of Saqsaywaman, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to Trono del Inca, which is located at F2V9+466. The walk is about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
Walking
If you are already on the Salkantay Trail and near Saqsaywaman, you can simply walk to Trono del Inca. From the main trail, head towards the Saqsaywaman ruins and follow the signs. It’s a scenic walk of approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water.
