Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Cusco to the Salkantay Trek, head west on Av. El Sol toward Av. de la Cultura. Continue on this road for approximately 2 hours (about 80 km) until you reach the town of Mollepata. From Mollepata, take the road towards Soraypampa (around 13 km) where the trek officially begins. Parking is available at Soraypampa for approximately 10 soles per day.

Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach the Salkantay Trek via public transport, take a bus from the Cusco terminal to Mollepata. Buses leave regularly throughout the day, and the journey takes about 2 hours, costing around 15-20 soles. Once in Mollepata, you can catch a shared taxi or take a local bus to Soraypampa. The taxi ride will cost about 30 soles and takes around 30 minutes.
