If you are driving to La Base Tambopata, start from the center of Puerto Maldonado. Head southeast on Avenida Jorge Chavez toward Avenida La Cultura. Continue straight onto Avenida Los Libertadores and follow the road for approximately 4 km. Watch for signs indicating Corredor Turístico. La Base Tambopata will be on your right at Km 4. There is parking available on-site.

To reach La Base Tambopata via public transportation, take a local bus from the main bus terminal in Puerto Maldonado. Look for buses heading toward the Corredor Turístico. Walk a short distance to the entrance.
