Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Plaza de Armas in Trujillo, head northeast on Jirón Pizarro, which is directly adjacent to the Plaza. Walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach Jirón Bolívar. Turn left onto Jirón Bolívar and continue walking for about 200 meters. Carmen Monastery will be on your right at Jirón Bolívar 846.

    From the Plaza de Armas, you can take a mototaxi (a small motorcycle taxi). Look for mototaxis near the plaza and tell the driver to take you to Jirón Bolívar 846. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the monastery will be on your right.

    If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop near the Plaza de Armas. Head northeast on Jirón Pizarro, cycling for about 300 meters, then turn left onto Jirón Bolívar. Continue straight for another 200 meters. Carmen Monastery will be on your right.
