Getting There

• Tricycle

  To reach Panglao Island from any point in Bohol, first make your way to Tagbilaran City, the capital of Bohol. You can take a tricycle from your current location to the Tagbilaran City Terminal. Once at the terminal, look for a tricycle that is going to the ferry terminal. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. At the ferry terminal, you will find boats heading to Panglao Island. Purchase a ticket for the boat and board it. The boat ride will typically take around 30 minutes.

• Bus

  If you are starting your journey from the Loboc River area or anywhere along the highway, take a bus heading towards Tagbilaran City. Buses frequently depart from designated bus stops and it is advisable to check the schedule. Once you reach the Tagbilaran City Bus Terminal, you can then transfer to a tricycle to the ferry terminal, as mentioned in the previous guidance. This whole journey may take around 1-2 hours depending on traffic and waiting times.

• Motorbike Rental

  For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Tagbilaran City. After renting, drive towards the Panglao Island bridge, which connects Bohol mainland to Panglao Island. Follow the signs to Alona Beach, which is a popular area on Panglao Island. It should take around 30-40 minutes to reach your destination depending on traffic. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic laws.

• Shared Van

  From Tagbilaran City, you can also opt for a shared van service to Panglao Island. Look for the vans at the Tagbilaran City Terminal, which usually have designated areas for departure. The shared van will take you directly to popular spots on Panglao, such as Alona Beach. The journey will take about 30 minutes, depending on the number of stops and traffic conditions.
