Car
If you are traveling by car, set your GPS to 856R+QQ9, Madreliñ, Cortes, Surigao del Sur. From the center of Tandag City, head southeast on the National Road (also known as the Tandag-Cortes Road) towards Cortes. Continue driving for approximately 18 kilometers (about 30 minutes). Once you reach the town of Cortes, follow signs to Laswitan Falls. Look for local landmarks such as the Cortes Public Market to help navigate. The last stretch requires driving along a dirt road, which may require careful navigation, so proceed slowly. Parking is usually available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Laswitan Falls via public transportation, start by taking a bus or van from Tandag City to Cortes. Buses and vans leave regularly from the Tandag Bus Terminal. The fare should cost around 50-70 PHP. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Laswitan Falls. Once you arrive in Cortes, you might need to take a tricycle to reach the falls, which is about 5-10 kilometers away. The tricycle fare ranges from 20-30 PHP. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand.
Walking
If you arrive at the nearest drop-off point for tricycles or local transport, you may need to walk the last segment to Laswitan Falls. The walk is approximately 1-2 kilometers depending on where you get dropped off. Follow the local paths, and ask for directions from locals if needed. The area is safe, and the scenic route will lead you to the falls.
