Car
If you're driving, start from Tacloban City. Head south on Maharlika Highway (Avenida Juan Luna) towards the town of Bato. The journey is approximately 2 hours (around 100 km). Once you reach Bato, look for the signs leading to Gunhuban Falls, which is accessible via a local road. Make sure to have a map app handy for navigation. The final destination is at the coordinates 10.3226° N, 124.8896° E.
Public Transportation
From Tacloban City, take a van or bus from the Tacloban Grand Terminal heading to Bato. The fare is approximately 150-200 PHP. After about 2 hours, get off at the Bato town center. From there, you can hire a tricycle to Gunhuban Falls for around 50-100 PHP. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting the ride. The tricycle will take you directly to the entrance of the falls.
Walking
Once you arrive at the entrance of Gunhuban Falls by tricycle, prepare for a short trek. The falls are about a 15-minute walk from the parking area. Follow the established trails that lead you through lush vegetation. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be uneven and muddy.
