Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, make your way to Calbayog City, Samar. From the city center, head northwest on the J.P. Rizal Avenue toward the National Highway. Continue on the National Highway for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Mapaso Hot Spring sign. Turn left at the junction and follow the road for approximately 2 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to the hot spring. There is a parking area near the entrance, and no entrance fee is required.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Mapaso Hot Spring via public transportation, start from Tacloban City. Board a bus bound for Calbayog City at the Tacloban City Bus Terminal. The journey takes approximately 3 hours and costs around PHP 200. Once you arrive at the Calbayog City Bus Terminal, you can take a tricycle (costing around PHP 50) to the junction leading to Mapaso Hot Spring. From there, you can either walk the remaining 2 kilometers or arrange a tricycle ride to the hot spring.

• Public Transportation (Van)

  If you prefer to travel by van, you can catch a van from Tacloban City to Calbayog City. The vans typically leave from the Tacloban City Bus Terminal and the journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, costing around PHP 250. Upon reaching Calbayog, take a tricycle to the junction for Mapaso Hot Spring (approximately PHP 50). You can then walk or take a tricycle for the final 2 kilometers to the hot springs.
