Experience Minasangay Island Ecological Park and Resort

Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Tacloban City, head east on the Maharlika Highway (AH26) towards Borongan City. Continue on this highway for approximately 140 kilometers until you reach the junction to Balay Ni Mayang. Turn left and follow the signs towards Balangkayan. Once in Balangkayan, navigate to the address FGFC+C62. The resort is located nearby; follow local signs to the Minasangay Island Ecological Park and Resort. Note that there is a parking fee of approximately 20 pesos.

  • Bus

    From Tacloban City, take a bus heading towards Borongan City at the Tacloban Bus Terminal. The bus fare is approximately 150 pesos and the journey will take around 3-4 hours. Once in Borongan, transfer to a van or local bus going to Balangkayan. The fare for this leg is about 40 pesos, and it will take about 30 minutes. After arriving in Balangkayan, ask locals for directions to FGFC+C62, as the resort is nearby.

  • Tricycle

    Once you arrive in Balangkayan, you can hire a tricycle to take you directly to Minasangay Island Ecological Park and Resort. The fare should be around 50-100 pesos depending on your negotiation with the driver. It’s a short ride, so be sure to agree on the price before departing.

  • Boat

    If you are coming from nearby islands, you may need to take a boat to Balangkayan. Ferries operate between nearby islands and the local pier.
