Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey by heading to Biliran province. From Tacloban City, drive along the Maharlika Highway (Route 1) towards Biliran. The journey will take approximately 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic conditions. Once you reach the town of Caibiran, look for signs leading to Circumferential Road. Continue driving along Circumferential Road until you reach the coordinates GJJ9+87H, which will lead you to Tomalistis Falls. You may need to park your car at a nearby designated area and walk the remaining distance to the falls.
Public Transportation
To reach Tomalistis Falls using public transportation, take a bus or van from Tacloban City to Naval, the capital of Biliran. The bus ride will take about 2 to 3 hours. From Naval, transfer to a local jeepney or tricycle that goes to Caibiran. Upon arriving in Caibiran, ask the driver to drop you off at the start of Circumferential Road. From there, you may need to hire a tricycle or walk to the coordinates GJJ9+87H to reach Tomalistis Falls. Be prepared for a short trek to the falls, and ensure to check local transportation schedules for return trips.
Trekking
For the adventurous, once you reach the vicinity of Tomalistis Falls, you can enjoy a nature trek. The path may be uneven and can include some steep sections. Wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry water. The trek will provide beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and allow you to appreciate the natural beauty of Biliran.
